Belt-fed .338 Norma Mag machine gunWeapons

A belt-fed, lightweight medium machine gun chambered in 338 Norma Mag and weighing under 20 lb. It uses a short-stroke gas piston with a proprietary recoil mitigation system, a free-floating quick-change barrel, ambidextrous controls, a switchable feed tray and a charging handle that can be fitted to either side, and it can be converted to 7.62x51.

    Man-Portable Fire

    SIG says the MG 338 bridges the gap between current machine guns: lighter than the 7.62 M240 with more range, and about one-quarter the weight of the .50 M2 with a similar effective range in a man-portable gun.
