Backpackable tactical quadcopterUnmanned Systems

A man-packable tactical quadcopter from Lockheed Martin Skunk Works for reconnaissance and surveillance, with on-edge computing, three payload interfaces and a low acoustic signature. It fits in a standard backpack, deploys in about two minutes and runs ATAK or VCSi ground control software.

    Reconnaissance

    Lockheed Martin describes the Indago 4 as a tactical quadcopter giving 360-degree reconnaissance and surveillance, with a low acoustic signature and long-endurance flight.

    GPS-Denied ISR

    Three payload bays, downward-facing sensors and Northstar visual navigation software let the aircraft carry out ISR where GPS is unavailable.

    Target Identification

    High-resolution EO and IR payloads provide zoom to identify people, objects, vehicles and weapons, with thermal imaging for covert night operations and geo-pointing through ATAK or VCSi.

    The ruggedized system fits in a small backpack and deploys in about 2 minutes, and is TSA compliant for airline transport.
