Nocturn Chimera

Clearing a doorway or ducking into a vehicle with a bulky quad-tube rig is exactly the problem the Chimera solves: each pod stows independently, letting operators fold the unit back to helmet profile for tight spaces while still running weapon-mounted thermal alongside night vision when both pods are deployed. Built from 7075-T6 aluminum around PVS-14-spec optics, with a bridge option for GPNVG-18, ANVIS-10, and Photonis Pro-Q systems, it moves weight closer to the neck's pivot point to cut the fatigue that comes with a long night on quad tubes.

    Panoramic Night Vision

    Nocturn describes the Chimera (U.A.P.N.V.G.) as an ultralight articulating panoramic night vision goggle and the first articulating quad-tube device, using PVS-14 front objective lenses.

    Confined Spaces

    Each pod can be stowed independently without folding the whole device, which helps users clear doorways, gain head clearance in vehicles, move through confined spaces and reduce snag hazards in brush.

    Thermal and Weapon Optics

    Pod articulation lets users rotate the tubes aside to use thermal optics or weapon-mounted optics while keeping quick access to night vision.

    Reduced Neck Strain

    The pods stow rearward toward the helmet, moving the center of gravity closer to the neck's pivot point to reduce fatigue during extended use.
