Two-channel handheld radioCommunications

Simultaneous narrowband and wideband communication in a two-pound package is what the AN/PRC-148C IMBITR gives the operators 2ATG trains alongside: a rugged, waterproof-to-20-meters handheld that runs SINCGARS, SATCOM, HAVEQUICK, and Project 25 waveforms side by side. With AES-256 Type-1 encryption, up to 200-plus node mesh networking, and coverage from 30 MHz up through 2.6 GHz, it handles everything from squad-level comms to satellite reachback in a single radio.

    Two-Channel Comms

    The AN/PRC-148C IMBITR is a small, rugged 2-channel radio that gives users simultaneous narrowband and wideband communications, plus tactical command and control communications.

    RF-Challenged Areas

    Thales says its TSM waveform delivers voice and data in harsh multi-path and dynamic areas such as caves, on board ships and urban settings.

    Tactical Networking

    The wideband channel runs a self-forming, self-healing MANET that scales to 200+ nodes, with multiple streaming videos and position location information using Cursor-on-Target.

    The narrowband channel supports SATCOM with a 10 watt burst mode and improved SATCOM noise figure over the earlier AN/PRC-148.
