Staying connected across a full range of conditions is what the AN/PRC-163 brings to the teams 2ATG trains and supports: a SWaP-optimized handheld radio that folds five separate devices (GPS, wideband and narrowband radios, an ISR receiver, and encryption) into one unit soldiers actually want to carry. Covering 30 MHz to 2.6 GHz with line-of-sight, beyond-line-of-sight, and satellite connectivity, it links up to 200 users across voice, data, and full-motion video, with jam-resistant MANET waveforms keeping the network up in contested environments.

    Crossbanding Networks

    The AN/PRC-163 crossbands SATCOM, line-of-sight and beyond line-of-sight networks, carrying voice and data simultaneously on two channels and extending real-time intelligence from command to squad level.

    Full Motion Video
